Meet coach Jay

CSCS, USAW, FMS

Coach Jay is the head S&C Coach at the PAC. He has been a S&C coach and personal trainer for 10 years. Previously he has been a S&C coach at Norfolk State University and Chowan University. He specializes in developing programs for youth and athletic development. He has his CSCS, USAW Level 1, and FMS certification.

Meet coach Keira

CPT, BRM, FMS

As the Human Performance Coach, Keira works with a wide range of clients to help them reach their health and fitness goals including athletes to develop their sport skill and athleticism. She has her CPT, is BRM certified, and FMS Level 1 certified. 

Meet coach Anthony

CPT

Coach Anthony has been in the fitness industry for almost 15 years. He believes that any fitness goal that you set out to achieve can be accomplished by discipline, consistency and mindset.  He completed both is BS and MS studies at ODU and has an associate’s degree in personal training and fitness from TCC.

Human Performance Coach

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Human Performance Coach to join our team! The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about strength and conditioning concepts, experienced in personal training, and certified in CPR/First Aid. Ideally, candidates will also have a CSCS certification.

  

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting fitness assessments and creating customized workout plans for clients based on their goals and objectives.
  • Providing personal training sessions to clients, guiding them through exercises and offering corrective advice.
  • Leading group training sessions with a focus on strength and conditioning principles.
  • Monitoring clients' progress and adjusting their workout plans as needed with approval from Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean workout environment for all clients.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry research and trends regarding strength and conditioning to provide the most effective training programs.

  

Requirements:

  • Personal training certification from a recognized institution is required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in personal training and/or strength and conditioning coaching.
  • CSCS or CSCCa certification preferred, candidates with either of these certifications will be contacted first.
  • Knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, and nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and create positive relationships.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other fitness professionals.
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with the possibility to expand to full-time hours.
  • Flexibility in schedule is a must as times will vary based on client needs.
